Eco-efficiency and socio-environmental responsibility in companies in Salta

The Salteño Ecosello is a provincial ecological label that seeks to improve environmental management in goods and services of local companies. The objective of the research is to identify and explain the qualitative and competitive advantages it provides, for which information was collected from primary and secondary sources of the five companies (10.4%) that reached the 4th stage. They were consulted about the added value that eco-labelling provides and the reduction in the use of inputs. Improvements were observed in management: 54% in waste management, 19% reduced water use, 22.6% reduced energy use and 12% reduced raw material consumption. The added value provided by the Salteño Ecosello generated very varied data, with a greater tendency to recognize environmental achievements in relation to the impact of social responsibility.
